Hi, I'm Daniel. A graphic designer, driven by my passion for branding and communication design! I have a forward-thinking approach and I continuously seek new methods and solutions to communicate ideas that are innovative and informative through my practice.
Design for me is about changing/defining people's perceptions of a brand's presence and how information is interpreted. I believe design is a powerful tool that can determine how we navigate and view the world around us. I aim to make a difference through my work and having a positive influence through brand identity to create a strong brand presence.

June - December 2021
Student Community Team - Western Sydney University
Student Community Assistant
Working with the Student Community Staff Members, Student Representatives and Student Club leaders to complete design requests to support various projects and initiatives. My role consisted of designing assets directly for staff working strictly within the University Brand Guidelines as well as designing new student specific branding and marketing material for student-led initiatives. Projects varied from working directly with students consisting of branding projects such as online events, forums and podcasts creating social media, email digital marketing material to promote each initiative. Staff-led projects consisted of rebranding and designing digital assets for websites and online student platforms, designing digital marketing material, event schedules, presentations and awards for events and creating publications and data packs. Throughout the role I was required to liase directly with the University Design Team when making key decisions working within the University branding.
August - September
WSU Student Events Team
Junior Designer
Volunteering for the Western Sydney University Student Events Team by creating graphics for the Student Life instagram page to support major events for students. Project briefs consisted of designing short animated and static graphics to increase student engagement for student events. Graphics focused on different aspects for certain events such as promotion of major prize giveaways, promoting different activities and designing information graphics to provide an insight to what the different student events, festivals and fairs are about. Each major event required a team of volunteer student designers to work together and complete different design briefs while reporting back to the Social Media Coordinator and Director of the Student Events Team.

W'SUP NEWS
Junior Designer
Volunteering for the Western Sydney University student media team I was provided the opportunity to create graphics to support student news for online articles and creative content provided student contributors. For majority of my time working for the student media team projects I was required to collaborate alongside other design students to create a print publication for the Spring semester edition for W'SUP. This project required the creation of illustrations to assist creative writing pieces, articles and poems as well as designing advertisements for clubs and student groups to be showcased in the publication. The student editors also required the creation of video content and a brand video to promote the W'SUP brand to improve student engagement.

Peer to Peer Creative Agency - Western Sydney University
Creative Agent
Working individually and within a team of 3 students under the supervision of the Student Community officer, the Peer to peer Creative Agency is a University funded project designed to increase engagement for Student clubs. My role as a Creative Agent consisted of completing design requests and providing assistance focused on Branding, Marketing and strategic planning for the for student clubs. Within the role I worked with several student clubs with projects ranging from small requests such designing a poster for an event, a short brand video to promote a club larger projects consisting of rebranding a club developing a logo design and brand style as well as designing proving digital and print marketing material and templates for long term use for club promotion and engagement. As the Peer to Peer Creative Agency was a new staff-led initiative I had a major part in development of the branding for the Creative Agency and designing of digital marketing assets to promote the initiative.
March 2021 - November 2021
Burrow Design Studio
Junior Designer
The Burrow Design studio is a studio for students in the final year of the Design degree to work with industry partners as to fulfil academic requirements. I was required to Work within a team of students and Creative Director on Live Creative Briefs for major clients with a strong focus on Branding and designing Brand collateral. Project briefs required the team to develop a new brand identity for our clients including Logos and guidelines for brand application. Each team member was also responsible for specific deliverables as part of a project package for each client. Outcomes consisted of new website designs, digital screens, posters, internet and social media advertising for
branded merchandise.
December 2019 - January 2020
Australian Broadcasting Company
Graphic Design Intern
Interning at the ABC NEWS Graphics Team and designing a series of motion graphics sequences to aid storytelling for broadcast news as well as gaining exposure to studio production and operations. The role required me to design 2D and 3D animated graphics sequences working with footage, photography, typography and designing animated illustrations to create a series of short clips to be used as visual explainers for news stories. Each project required consultation with designers at each stage of a same-day delivery graphics task.
